Pass on these... just not sturdy. We're a very slim family and they wobble terrible. They can't be tightened enough, just not fitted properly. They look very nice but that just doesn't cut it. Even for the price I expected more. I had to have a friend who is a carpenter fix these for me.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
